With our sights set on the future, we’re looking for a savvy Area Manager to join our team and help us deliver our strategy and be the world’s number one supplier of ethical and sustainable wool. 

Job Description

The Role

Are you looking for a role that combines sales, relationship management and interacting with growers (farmers) - then look no further! 

Reporting to the GM Global Supply, the Area Manager North Island will; 

  • Develop strong commercial relationships with key growers within the North Island.
  • Be responsible for procurement and selling of contracts to growers.
  • Provide grower support through digital platforms.
  • Maximise the revenue opportunities for NZM through procurement, sales management and relationships.

Desired Skills and Experience

The Person 

  • A degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Agriculture industry
  • Experience in wool procurement, contract negotiation and sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build deep commercial relationships and establish credibility with stakeholders. 
  • Strong Commercial acumen
  • Tech-savvy
  • An appreciation for wool, along with grower empathy and an affinity for the primary sector
  • A full clean drivers license
